Translation Job Poster FAQ

How do I post a job?
Click on the ´Post a Job´ button at the top right corner and follow the instructions.
Who will know that I have posted a job?
The freelance translators and translation agencies that have the same languages as your job´s languages will be notified by email about your job.
What happens when a translator or translation agency bids on my job?
When a translator/translation agency bids on your job you will be sent an email to your registered email address.
How do I accept a bid?
To accept a bid you need to login to ´My Admin´ page and go to ´My Posted Jobs´ page.
Choose the relevant job and click on the ´View´ button to view all bids for the chosen job.
You will then see all bids for the chosen job.
Find the bid that you would like to accept, click the ´Accept Bid´ button and follow the instructions.
What happens when I accept a bid?
When you accept a bid your message will be sent by email to the translator/translation agency that has submitted the bid.
You will then need to wait for the translator/translation agency to get back to you.
How do I close my job to stop receiving bids?
If you wish to close your job and stop receiving bids you need to login to ´My Admin´ page and go to ´My Posted Jobs´ page.
You will see all your posted jobs listed, choose the job you wish to close and click on the ´Close´ button.
How do I pay the translator/translation agency for the job?
The payment method is negotiated between you (the job poster) and the translator/translation agency.
We (Translators Town) only provide the web service online as a communication interface between the job poster and the translator/translation agency.
We are not responsible for any financial matters between the job poster and the translator/translation agency.

How can I get jobs on Translators Town?
There are 2 ways you can get jobs on Translators Town:
How will I know when jobs are posted on Translators Town?
We will notify you by email about the jobs that match your language pairs.
Alternatively, you can browse our translation jobs using our
search and filtering tools to find the jobs that match your skills.
What are the differences between paid membership and free membership?
With paid membership you can bid on jobs, add more language pairs and
your profile will be listed higher in our directory of translators (before free members).

With free membership you cannot bid on jobs, you can add a maximum of 3 language pairs and your profile will be listed in our directory of translators (after paying members).
How can I get jobs with free membership if I cannot bid on jobs?
The only way you can get jobs with free membership is when a client finds your profile
in our directory of translators and contacts you.
However, we list paying members before free members in our directory of translators.
How do I get paid for the job?
The payment method is negotiated between you (translator/translation agency) and the job poster.
We (Translators Town) only provide the web service online as a communication interface between the job poster and the translator/translation agency.

What details of me (translator/translation agency) is available on Translator Town´s web site?
Almost everything you have entered about yourself, your language pairs, your certificates, your education details, your employment references, your tools and your uploaded profile photo will be available to users of Translators Town´s web site.
