Project Description:
As a Netflix Localization QCer, you are in command of the ship for your language. You cannot stand typos, and you wage war against shot change violations and timing issues. Your attention to detail makes you a trusted ally for polishing both dubbed and timed text assets for your language. Good quality is never a standard for you and you will only deliver top quality experiences to Netflix users. Your voice will represent your language and you will speak up diplomatically to raise the flag on poorly translated materials.

You will work independently in the comfort of your own home. You will receive work requests via e-mail and decide how many projects to take on.

You will:
- Edit timed text files to resolve translation issues, typos, grammatical errors, punctuation mistakes, inconsistencies, timing issues and reading speed violations.
- Ensure that all timed text and audio files adhere to the Netflix Original Style Guides
- QC dubbed audio files to identify mispronunciations, technical issues, and incorrect translations.
- Professionally and effectively communicate actionable feedback on localized assets.
- Apply your regional knowledge to provide clear and actionable QC notes.
- Deliver projects to multiple stakeholders by set deadlines.
- Adapt to workflow and guideline changes as needed.
- Create and/or update reference material when needed.

You have:
- A passion for languages and translation quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and your target language.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: localization QC, audiovisual translation, subtitling in the entertainment industry.
- Deep understanding of the subtleties and nuances of subtitle and dub translations.
- Working knowledge of territorial differences and best practices for subtitle and dub audio creation.
- Understanding of closed captioning and subtitling and their common failures or technical challenges.
- Ability to quickly adapt to workflow/process changes; resiliency and resourcefulness when troubleshooting or dealing with technical issues.
- Attention to detail; organization, problem-solving, analytical and multitasking skills.
- Confidence and experience with subtitle editing software and web/cloud technology.
